13 days of school left. Aside from the 'extra' 4th grade play I'm doing (what was I thinking?) we are in coasting mode. Easy, fun, end-of-the-year stuff. Work-wise, it's been a good year. Got my multi-year contract. Got a little better at teaching Kindergarten. Continued to get more organized. Reached a comfort level I've never felt before with plays and other public performances. And this is now the longest I've been at any job. So in a lot of ways this is uncharted territory for me. It feels good. I'm happy here. I'll stay until they don't want me any more.
Summer is coming....and it means so much this time. Last year we really didn't have a summer...not the kind that we love with a large, exciting journey. We were more or less sequestered at home with newborn twins...and happy to be...but we missed getting out. Yes our trips to Louisville and Tennessee were fun and special in their own way, but...I'm a travel nut. I'm a road trip junkie. AND, part of my heart is ALWAYS at the beach. It was 2006 when we last went to the ocean. Mari was 6 months old. Faith was 2. Twins? That sounded like a bad sitcom. A lifetime ago.
I keep wanting to post the big road trip plans...I'll do it soon, I promise.
So long all,
