Had a great day at Arches National Park. The scenery is hard to describe...so many different types of rock formations. All of them a masterpiece. Some seemed to defy gravity. Others looked like they had to have a steel rod or concrete to hold them in place. And the colors..reds, and yellows, and browns, and greens (copper).
We started our day early, intending to have breakfast at 6:30 so that we could get to the Park when it opened at 7:30. There were some trails Matt had suggested exploring, and we wanted to do these before the heat became a problem.
The kids were too small to join us on the trails that were either not paved (for a stroller) or after it got too hot to carry them. All in all a magnificent day.
We got back to the motor home and had a quiet dinner (again thanks to Dream Dinners) and hit the sack early. We plan to get an early start tomorrow for exploring the area.
FYI - during our trip, we have encountered periodic problems getting on the net to do our postings. That is why we sometimes run a day or 2 behind.
More tomorrow!!
